Hi, I’m Rob.
I’m a multidisciplinary artist from Wrexham, working across performance, photography and film. My projects blur art and everyday life, often paired with documentaries that share the story behind the work.
Currently longlisted for the Aesthetica Art Prize 2025, I’m always open to opportunities to exhibit and collaborate.

statement
“In 2020 I received seed funding from Clwstwr to investigate use cases for vertical filmmaking outside of social media.
After a visit to Facebook HQ as part of the 2019 London Film Festival, I’d become intrigued about different ways filmmakers could utilise vertical filmmaking outside of creating for social media platforms. In response, I wrote scripts for a triptych of short films, which could play and be enjoyed separately, or together simultaneously.
To investigate the potential for the medium, I split my R&D into three goals:
1. Complete post-production on three vertical shorts films;
2. Use the completed films to create prototypes, where they could be watched in different ways;
3. Carry out user testing, where people watch the prototypes and give us feedback.
To test out different potential ways of using the vertical films, I set out to make four versions of the same three films. One would be viewed in a virtual reality headset, one inside a bespoke mobile application using novel gestures, one via an interactive display and one via a television. I worked with a small team to prepare a separate audio mix for each vertical film, making sure they wouldn't interfere with each other when played together. I worked on creating the TV prototype and interactive display prototype, then worked with a Cardiff-based company called Jam for the mobile application and the VR edition.”
